Full Belly Farm is a 400-acre certified organic farm in California’s beautiful Capay Valley, north of Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area. The farm has been growing food using organic practices since 1985.
Founded in 1984 by farmers and environmentalists Dru Rivers and Paul Muller, Full Belly Farm began with a vision of creating a sustainable farm that could support their family and community for generations. Today, the farm is still family-owned and operated, with a team of about 80 employees.
Full Belly grows more than 100 different crops, including vegetables, fruits, nuts, flowers, and herbs, along with raising chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and cows. This diversity allows the farm to provide fresh, local food throughout the year.
Caring for the land and the people who work it is central to the farm. Full Belly uses cover crops to build healthy soil, maintains habitat for beneficial insects and wildlife, and focuses on selling its produce within 120 miles of the farm. The farm also prioritizes year-round employment for its team.
For more than 40 years, Full Belly Farm has been growing food while working to create a healthy, productive farm that can thrive for generations to come.
