Plum & Honey Old Fashioned with Edible Flower Ice Cubes

 
 

Ingredients

 
  • 2-3 Tulare Giant Plums

  • 1/4 cup Honey

  • 4 ounces bourbon

  • Angostura bitters

  • Edible flowers


Instructions

  1. The night before making place edible flowers into an ice cube tray, fill with water, and freeze 

  2. cut plums into thin slices and place in a pot on the stove with 1/2 cup of water. Slowly bring to a simmer until plums split, releasing juice. 

  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup of honey 

  4. Strain out plum slices and pour the syrup into a jar to let cool 

  5. Once syrup has cooled add 4 ounces to a cocktail shaker with ice, 4 ounces of bourbon, and a few dashes of Angostura bitters. Shake until cold 

  6. Strain and pour into two rocks glasses with edible flower ice cubes, garnish with a plum slice, and enjoy!
