Our Farm to School (F2S) program is set up to ensure that local food is getting into schools. We do this in four ways:
• Farm Cart in the Classroom – Teaches students about local food and sustainable agriculture by hosting a mini farmers market. See flyer below for more details. Contact us here if you’re interested in hosting one!
• Harvest of the Month – introduces students to new fruits and vegetables to encourage more adventurous eating.
• School Lunches – In 2018 this program put $14,500 of local produce into school lunches. Throughout the year we deliver seasonal produce several times a month to schools in the area.
• Education Farm – Educating students about agriculture in our mountain ecosystem. See our Acroecology Center page for more information.
