Susie Sutphin is 15-year Truckee resident. Her varied careers have brought her from Couloir magazine to Patagonia Clothing and later the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival where she ran the national tour growing it from 10 cities to 110 cities in five years.

Private Chef & Sustainable Food ConsultantChef Billy McCullough has over 25 years in the culinary arts. He is currently a private chef and consultants with restaurants on developing sustianable food menus. Prior to that he was the chef/owner of a Dragonfly Restaurant and Sushi Bar in Truckee and the chef/partner of Twenty Two Bistro in Squaw Valley.
Dan AlveyBoard MemberRaised just on the other sides of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Dan’s love for wild areas started early with adventures on the Yuba River and overnight trips to high alpine lakes. Since moving to Reno in 2014, Dan has fallen in love with the area’s balance of culture and nature.
Sarah HoyleBoard SecretarySarah is an environmental advocate who focuses on sustainable agricultural policy. She currently works for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, evaluating the risks that pesticides pose to invertebrates and developing policies to reduce pesticide use. When she moved to Truckee, Sarah began volunteering with Tahoe Food Hub and joined the board in November 2016. She is glad to help support the food hub and continue to expand its impact in the region.
Jennifer BanidWarehouse, OperationsJenn started back when the food hub was just a thought. She and her husband, Bill Kelly, built a geodesic growing dome in hopes to farm. Things moved smoothly and Susie Sutphin came into their lives to help them manage it. Together, they created a vision.
Marissa YakaitisFarm to Market Manager
Marissa is a born-and-raised Vermonter and having just moved here in the spring, she is very excited to be a part of the Tahoe Food Hub team! When she isn’t working or wrapping up her degree in Agricultural Resource Economics from Colorado State University; she is running, skiing or getting creative in the kitchen, always with her dog, Lucy by her side. Supporting small family farms and sustainable agriculture is more than just eating fresh and seasonal, it is a way of life for her.
Kelsey MurpheyFarm to Market Coordinator, Media Manager, Crop PlannerKelsey grew up in Sonoma County, California. She quickly learned the value of local produce and the beauty of gardening from her upbringing in such an agriculturally rich place. She grew up visiting Tahoe frequently and has always been lured back to the Sierras by the myriad of accessible outdoor activities.
Sam grew up as a young kid in San Jose before moving to Mt. Shasta at the age of 10. His love for the mountains and all things outdoors was surely from his upbringing as a product of parents from the 60’s. Sam grew up working in his parents nurseries and flower shops over the years before heading away to college in Chico for graphic design and photography.
Brian AquintoWarehouse, OperationsBrian moved relocated to Tahoe in 2016 after living in San Diego and the Bay Area. He spends most of his time buried in mountains of paperwork and has learned to seek solace in working for the Tahoe Food Hub.
Tyler RudderWarehouse, OperationsOriginally from New Jersey, Tyler feels most at home in the mountains. In the 9 years he’s lived in Truckee, Tyler has always prioritized his time outside, regardless of the season.
Dana GundersBoard MemberDeemed “the woman who helped start the waste-free movement” by Consumer Reports, Dana is a national expert and strategic advisor for food waste reduction through her business Next Course.
Nadine SniechowskiFarm to Market CoordinatorRaised in Ohio, I have been rambling around California for a decade. In 2016 I decided to call Tahoe home. I love outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, live music, and paddle boarding.
Tara LarsonFarm Shop Manager, Feed Your Neighbor Program Coordinator
Tara grew up just down the hill in Nevada City, California and from an early age had the opportunity to get involved in a variety of local environmental groups that promoted and protected a healthy environment.
